Panic attacks can be relieved and perhaps cured with acupuncture.

Continue reading and learn more about this amazing technique. Acupuncture has been dated back as far as 6000 BC. in ancient China so it is by far one of the most tried out and tested therapies in the world. It may be one of the oldest forms of holistic treatment too

How can you cure panic attacks with acupuncture?

An experienced acupuncturist inserts needles into certain trigger points on your body. These points occur as small energy centres all over the body. You might have heard of chakras from doing yoga or similar, and this is sort of the same. In our body we have a flow of electrical currents that needs to be able to run freely. These currents are also called meridians and are vital for all our organs and wellbeing. When a person suffers from panic attacks or depression he has a block in these meridians and the energy doesn’t flow smoothly. What the needle does is that it sort of tickles a spot where a vital energy has stopped working and kick starts it back to life again. It makes our natural feel good hormones (like oxytocine and other endorphins) flow in the body just as an antidepressant stops the serotonin from exiting too quickly. The difference is that an antidepressant also leaves a lot of debris on its way that intoxicates the body further which in the long run may make the panic attacks, depression or anxiety worse.

Acupuncture is used for many illnesses but has an especially good effect as pain relief, muscle soreness, joint problems, PMS, depression and phobias.

Don’t fret if you have a fear of needles… very few people find the acupuncture needles scary, they are very fine and it doesn’t hurt when they get inserted. A few people might find the insertion a bit uncomfortable but most people experience healing warmth from them. The needles are always sterile (they come in sterile plastic wrapping as other medical instruments) and the procedure is very safe with no side effects.

Good luck!
